Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and the stunning views of the surrounding area from the beach. You can participate in canoeing, kayaking, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, sailing, snorkeling, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and other water activities at the park.
A first-come, first-served basis is used for beach cabanas, kiteboards, and kayaks at the North Concession. Besides the beach, Crandon Park is home to a range of ecosystems, including dunes, mangroves, coastal hammocks, and seagrass beds. The Bear Cut Preserve has many birding sites, guided tours, and offers a glimpse of the area's original natural landscape.
Aside from guided eco-adventures, Crandon Park Beach has a number of land-based excursions, including "Bike and Hike," "Expedition South Florida," and "Sea Turtle Awareness Program." There are also skateboarding areas, bicycle paths, and the Crandon Park Tennis Center, which has 27 courts, including 13 that are lighted. Boaters can launch their boats from the marina's boat ramps, wet slips, and docks, which are all able to accommodate boats up to 80 feet in length.
At Crandon Park Amusement Center, children will enjoy the historic carousel and old-fashioned outdoor roller rink, as well as a playground with sculptures of different marine animals. In addition to picnic shelters and pavilions, concessions in the park sell snacks and drinks on a first-come, first-served basis.
