A true bastion of the Cuban dining experience in Miami. Underrated and undersold. This blows the chains like La Carreta and Latin Cafe out of the water. The service was so nice and genuine.

Still great. Portions are large and quality is still excellent. Usually get the Palomilla, but tried grilled chicken this time. It was excellent.

Love their food. Got take out. I think these are the best French fries available. They don’t speak much English so it’s best to order in person.

First visit since the Pandemic and have to say that while I have been a fan for many years, it was a big disappointment. Had to request a regular menu since my guest did not have a smartphone to scan the QR code (hate establishments that only have the code). The menu has totally changed, so many of the choices like #28 Chopped Steak have been removed. And the prices are off the charts! My steak while large, was tasteless and tough. Was looking forward to the wonderful rice and beans, only they were cold. We could not add avocado to our salad. My guest plate looked awful – tasted good though. Wait staff questioned everything, not very welcoming or smiles…. the best part was the Fries – those are still to dream about! Not sure I will be back and very sad – lots of memories at Rio….time to step up and improve the customer experience

I ate here alot in the 80’s. If anyone remembers Lilas Rio Cristal was owned by then. I always came fir the Rio Cristal Steak and fries. Was craving this out of the blue. Still has that 80’s look. Old School. Definitely hit the spot. Will Co e back for the same steak and fried next month. Big Portuons and fairy priced. Bottle of Castillo del Diablo for $20. Flank was really good. Good casual dining
