Awesome night. The food is delicious, service is quick and friendly, the views are great and very cool vibe and atmosphere. Has a big wrap around patio with indoor and outdoor dining on the river. The restaurant is very cool inside with beautiful artwork and a DJ playing chill, not too loud music. Service was very nice and knowledgeable. The food looked like a piece of art and tasted delicious. Little expensive, but worth it. Great night. Would definitely go back again. Try the Tiradito Lujoso!

We had been wanting to visit La Mar, by renowned chef Gaston Acurio, for a long time. We had visited his restaurant in Chile over 10 years ago and the night had been memorable. Miami was no different. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very pleasant and with the Brickell skyline as a backdrop. The food, while impeccable, was not surprising. Everything was very well presented, the ingredients were fresh, but nothing compared to the explosion of flavors that we remember feeling in Chile. Either way, it’s a top 10 experience for Miami residents or visitors alike!
One of our best dining experience!!! My husband and I are in food business, and we barely impressed by the food we try. However, dining in La Mar us like a rich culinary journey. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Everything about it outstanding, including view.

Went to the Mandarin Oriental just to explore with a friend. We got there in time for the breakfast at La Mar. The buffet spead was so beautifully put together. Do much diversity everyone will be satisfied. We ate on the deck and had he most breathtaking view of the city from across the lagoon. Just that I. Itself was worth it. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. The service was so great and our server was so personable. Nice place to just go, relax and take in the beauty of the city.

ABOUT

Technically, the executive chef is a celebrity back in Peru, perhaps the country’s most famous cook. But the real mastermind running the day-to-day is Diego Oka, who plates Insta-worthy dishes that taste just as good as they look. The menu largely highlights local catch and seafood you’d find on a trip to Peru, best exemplified with bright ceviches that somehow are full of tangy citrus flavor and also preserve the delicate taste of the fish. It’s just a bonus that La Mar’s balcony has the kind of view you’d expect at a top-notch seafood spot, the waves from the bay lapping against the seawall below.

RECOMMENDED DISH

Sandwiches prepared with croquettes, pickles, Swiss cheese, ham, roasted pork, and mustard on pressed Cuban bread are a crowd favorite.
