Sorry for the already eaten food photos. Was hungry and didn’t take the pics prior to stuffing my face……With that out of the way, this place is absolutely exquisite!!! This is one of those hole in the wall joints that make you really feel as if you’re at home.My wife and I stopped in here on our vacation in Miami beach. From our hotel it was only a 12 minute drive, and when we arrived we were greeted by the staff very friendly. When my wife and I sat at the bar, the bartender was very nice. She asked us if we had been there before and when we told her no, she gave us the rundown of the food, the area, her life, and the restaurant. We opted to sit down and eat but decided to take our food to go. Before we left we took some pictures, (ugh….on my wife’s phone of course) and the bartender offered to take for us. SUPER nice people to meet!!Now the food: WOW is all I can say. Out of this world!!! I had the goat curry, plantains, rice and beans. My wife had the red snapper, plantains, and a small salad I believe. It’s flipping crazy how good this food is. The goat was SOOO tender and flavorful. I could barely tell the difference between this goat meat and typical lamb meat. The plantains were nice soft, slightly sweet, with this seasoning/crust or whatever that just set it off, and when you mix all this with the rice…………..LAWD!!!!! They have these alcohol slushies they make and the peach SLAPS!!!! DO NOT SKIP ON THE PEACH SLUSHIE!!!!You are doing yourself a disservice if you are Miami near Miami beach and you don’t stop here at some point. Please support this business, they definitely deserve it!

My mom and I swung by for lunch as we’re in Miami for a bit. Vanie was our server and she was great! The dine in was empty when we got there so service was quick and prompt. Restaurant was clean. We order a large oxtail, rice & peas, steamed veggies, a mild beef patty, coco bread, and a ginger beer. It was AMAZING!I’m very particular about my oxtail and it was flavorful, cooked to perfection, and falling off of the bone. My mom loved her beef patty and coco bread which came out hot.We would definitely come again!

One of the best Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to in me life! Canny was great with our service. Rasta Pasta is to DIEEE FOR! Next time you are in town for a visit, add this gem to your list of friendly visits and eats.

I am a Jamaican vegetarian and I got the rice and peas Mac and cheese and curry chunks. The portions were big and everything was super tasty albeit a little salty. I ordered sorrel for a drink and it was delicious. They were out of patties which was disappointing but the other food made up for it. The macaroni noodles were over cooked but I still loved it. Very authentic and delicious food.

Felt like home. The vegetarian food was well prepared and the serving sizes were decent. The only critique I had was that my dishes were a little salty. The service was also really great. Our server was kind and helpful.
