One of the better Cuban places in Miami. From the outside doesn’t seem much, but the inside is charming; beautiful Cuban-themed interiors and welcoming staff, which is quick and kind.
This time we only went with appetizers and coffee—good stuff with a modern twist.
Cocktails are a must since they are the bomb! You can’t go wrong with any. I am looking forward to sharing more photos and recommendations.
What’s really impressive was the little things were thought of. Our 8 year-old loved seeing our name on the board welcoming us. The communication before and after dining there was grateful. Attention from various staff throughout the night.
Trying to think of one thing to improve and all we could come up with was our table for five seemed really small. Adds to the intimacy I suppose, but made managing dishes on the table a little challenging. But didn’t take anything away from the night.
We’d come back in a heartbeat when we return to Miami.

It's hard to resist the shrimp po'boy tacos and suckling pig buns, but the award winning golden chorizo croquetas are the star which linger on your palate. They're flavored with Miami Smokers' chorizo, mustard, and queso fresco.
If you're in the mood for a happy hour, you'll find it every day of the week at Cafe La Trova. Visitors can enjoy $5 drinks like daiquiris and mojitos and Latin bites like $5 croquettes and $6 empanadas.
